#LetGirlsLearn: Michelle Obama and Prince Harry Discuss Education Initiative Over Tea

Michelle Obama and her daughters, Malia and Sasha, met with Prince Harry for tea on Tuesday during a two-day visit to Britain to endorse her #LetGirlsLearn initiative. #LetGirlsLearn is an initiative to ensure adolescent girls get the education they deserve.

According a report by NBCNews, the First Lady visited a school in east London where she was greeted by enthusiastic young girls waving American and British flags.

"The world needs more girls like you growing up to lead our parliaments and our board rooms and our courtrooms and our universities," Obama said. "We need you."

NBCNews reported that her visit came after the announcement of a $200 million United States and United Kingdom joint partnership to support education for adolescent girls in countries affected by conflict.

"When a girl receives a quality education, she is more likely to earn a decent living; raise a healthy, education family; and improve the quality of life for herself, her family and her community," a White House statement said, that announced the new partnership.
