Oprah, Gloria Steinem and More Talk Experience with Unequal Pay

"Every society, including our own for all its movement, has always depended on the unpaid labor of women." -Marie Wilson

Even some of the most prominent women have experienced pay discrimination and for Equal Pay Day, our MAKERS look back on their experiences to share how they handled it. From activist Gloria Steinem to media mogul Oprah Winfrey, many MAKERS have had to fight to be compensated fairly for their work. And the struggle's not over: in 2012, women were paid 77 percent of what men were paid. That discrepancy hasn't changed since 2002. It's a hard pill to swallow, especially when 41 percent of today's mothers are breadwinners for their families. Watch this video to start a conversation on equal - or unequal - pay and how we can push for equality.
