Oprah Recaptures Audience in New Hit TV Series "Greenleaf"

After debuting on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) last night, "Greenleaf" has brought Oprah Winfrey back to the little screen as Mavis McCready, whom critics agree is arguably one of the show's juiciest roles.

From the award-winning writer Craig Wright of "Lost" and "Brothers and Sisters," "Greenleaf" brings its audience into "the unscrupulous world of the Greenleaf family and their sprawling Memphis megachurch, where scandalous secrets and lies are as numerous as the faithful."

But Winfrey is not stopping there. "Queen Sugar," a series of which Winfrey co-created, is set to premiere sometime this year. The series follows the life of sisters Nova and Charley Bordelon who claim a sugarcane farm from their departed father.

Follow Winfrey's live tweets of the second night of the back-to-back premiere of "Greenleaf" on Wednesday, June 22, at 9pm EST and watch her exclusive MAKERS interview in the video player above.
