Press Release: The 2017 MAKERS Conference

Women's leadership platform MAKERS announced that the 2017 MAKERS Conference will take place February 6th-8th at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. MAKERS will bring together hundreds of trailblazing leaders, inviting everyone to “Be Bold,” elevate the conversation and raise challenges and solutions through action-oriented sessions. The Conference will shine a light on issues ranging from violence against women to inclusion of men — ultimately creating a bold agenda that flips the script and creates lasting impact.

MAKERS engages and empowers the leaders of today and cultivates the leaders of tomorrow, chronicling women’s exemplary contributions to society and the world, all with a mission to cultivate the leaders of tomorrow. The 2017 MAKERS Conference participants will also include MAKERS@ members — a network of companies who are celebrating and empowering their game-changing female employees by partnering with MAKERS. 2017 MAKERS@ partners include: Accenture, AOL, AT&T, Barneys New York, BBDO, Blackstone, Bloomberg, CA Technologies, CAA, Danone, Dermalogica, Edens, Facebook, GE, Getty Images, GHWCC, Goldman Sachs, Google, Group M, Johnson & Johnson, LinkedIn, Mail Chimp, McKinsey, Media Link, Morgan Stanley, Ogilvy, Publicis, Refinery 29, RRE Ventures, Time Warner, Twitter, UBS, UMWW, Unilever, Verizon, Visa and Yahoo!

"Our mission for this year's MAKERS conference is to not only amplify the issues by calling out what is and isn't working, but to also provide actionable ways and tools for women’s advancement in the home, at the workplace and in our communities."

"MAKERS was created to celebrate the stories of the women who have fought for the rights we have today, and furthers our founding mission that you have to see it to be it," said Dyllan McGee, Founder and Executive Producer of MAKERS. "We owe to the future MAKERS of the world to honestly discuss where we are today and ways we can create a better tomorrow."
