First All-Female Art Exhibit to Open at Saatchi Gallery

London's famed Saatchi Gallery, best known for launching artists like Tracey Emin into the global spotlight, is making more waves in the art world as it prepares to open its first all-female exhibit.

On the heels of the gallery's 30th anniversary, Champagne Life will showcase 14 up-and-coming artists with one thing in common: they're all women.

The exhibit, aiming to redress gender disparity in today's art, will feature artists ranging in ages from their 20s to their 50s, The Guardian reports.

"We've always supported the work of women artists over the years, many of those have gone on to have key roles in the contemporary art world, but I think there's still a huge amount of work to be done," the gallery’s chief executive, Nigel Hurst, told The Guardian.

Champagne Life is set to open January 13.
