We Are So Ready For Sheryl Sandberg's New Book

For most millennial women Sheryl Sandberg's "Lean In" has a firm place on an apartment or house bookshelf. It is truly a career bible. Well make some room on that shelf because the COO of Facebook is working on her second book.

On Friday, Recode reported that Sandberg's next book will focus on resilience and grief, as she lost her husband Dave Goldberg suddenly last year. We got to see glimpses of her fighting spirit in her triumphant, but emotionally charged commencement address she gave to the University of California, Berkeley this past spring.

The book will be published in 2017 and is titled Option B. The name comes from a post she wrote on Facebook last year when a friend filled in for Goldberg at a father-son event. When she cried that her husband would not be there, he told her “Option A is not available. So let’s just kick the s— out of option B.” Such an awesome and inspiring line, it now graces many posters at Facebook headquarters.

Adam Grant, a 34-year-old Wharton professor and organizational psychologist, is co-writing it.
