A new study finds that women need twice as much sleep as men.
Clinical psychologist and sleep expert Michael Breus led the study at Duke University.
When conducting the study, Breus assessed men and women's ability to deal with insufficient rest.
The study found that women experience more mental and physical consequences from inadequate rest — women had more anger, more depression, and more hostility early in the morning.
According to Healthy Life Tricks, the findings could inspire new health recommendations for women at greater risk of heart disease, depression, and psychological problems.
