The Upcoming Captain Marvel Film Is Largely Female

The upcoming "Captain Marvel" film just booked two female directors: Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The two have already co-directed movies together like "Mississippi Grind" starring Ryan Reynolds, and some TV episodes so we're expecting greatness.

Writers Nicole Perlman (author of "Inside Out") and Meg LeFauve are the ones who worked on the film's script and chose the female director pair.

And that's not all.

Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel will be played by Brie Larson, making Larson the first female lead in a Marvel movie.
