U.S. Women's National Team Players Will Each Get a Sports Illustrated Cover

The U.S. Women's National Team made history last week when they won their first World Cup title in 16 years.

Instead of giving the team the standard group shot on the cover of Sports Illustrated, the magazine will honor each player and coach Jill Ellis with their own individual covers. They will also include a cover with the entire team as well. That's a total of 25 covers!

The photos were shot before and after the parade in New York on Friday, according to ESPN. Sports Illustrated released all of the covers online on Monday.

In an ESPN report, managing editor Chris Stone said it's, "the first shoot of its kind in SI history" and "something different and fresh."
