Watch Author Ann Shoket Discuss Her Take On Leadership With Iconic Brands

Ann Shoket served as the former Editor-in-Chief of Seventeen from 2007 and 2014 and worked to reposition the iconic fashion and beauty brand to be the key voice in the industry for its 13 million readers. She is recognized by Forbes as one of the "Most Powerful Fashion Magazine Editors" in the country and succeeded in making Seventeen the No. 1 teen magazine on every platform.

In her efforts, Seventeen's on-edge, innovative content focused around relevant, important issues young women face today and adopted major success. She helped launch CosmoGIRL in 1999 by leading her team to be the first to openly talk about emotional issues that traditional publications had not yet tackled.

Shoket has appeared regularly on "Good Morning America," "TODAY," "The Oprah Winfrey Show," "The View," CNN, "Access Hollywood," and "E! News," and she was a guest judge for four seasons on "America's Next Top Model."
