The White House Will Continue to Protect LGBTQ+ Workers

While there seems to be a stream of tense, often disheartening news breaking worldwide, there are glimmers of hope among the headlines.

President Donald Trump has vowed to keep and enforce Barack Obama's executive order protecting LGBTQ+ individuals.

According to White House press secretary Sean Spicer, this 2014 order "protects employees from anti-LGBTQ workplace discrimination while working for federal contractors."

"The president is proud to have been the first ever GOP nominee to mention the LGBTQ community in his nomination acceptance speech," Spicer stated, adding that President-elect Trump has continued to pledge "to protect the community from violence and oppression."
