Unabashed comedian and talk show host Chelsea Handler moved to Los Angeles at age 19. After two years of unsuccessful acting auditions, she started pursuing stand-up comedy. After an appearance on reality series Girls Behaving Badly, she gained momentum with her first book, My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands, then began starring in her own late-night comedy series Chelsea Lately, on E!, in 2007. The show ran for seven seasons, with its last episode airing on August 26, 2014. On October 10, she’ll kick off a multi-tiered partnership with Netflix, starting with her first stand-up special, Uganda Be Kidding Me. In addition to My Horizontal Life, Handler wrote Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang, and Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me. All Handler’s books hit number one on the New York Times’ Bestseller List. In 2012, Handler was included in Time’s list of 100 Most Influential People.
