Donna Prummell is an Executive Director and the Chief Operating Officer for National Sales within Morgan Stanley Private Bank, National Association. She is responsible for managing all operational and administrative functions for approximately 300 National Sales team employees. This includes overseeing the Human Resources, Finance, Operational Risk and Sales and Business Management functions. She also manages the Bank’s Leadership and Development team and a centralized team of Associate Private Bankers. Donna joined Morgan Stanley Private Bank, N.A. in 2011 as the Head of Business Development for the Bank’s National Sales team and was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer in 2013 before becoming the Chief Operating Officer in 2015. She has extensive finance industry experience, beginning her career at PaineWebber, Inc., later UBS Financial Services, as a Client Service Associate. Donna held various positions within their fee-based and Wealth Management businesses, including Senior Wealth Management Analyst, Sales Support Manager and Associate National Sales Manager. In 2006, she was promoted to Head of Business Management and in 2008 to Chief Operating Officer for UBS’ Products & Services Distribution team. Donna received her Bachelor of Science Degree from St. John’s University, majoring in Communications and Business Administration, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 1999, she received her Certified Investment Management Analyst certification and in 2005, completed the Securities Industry Certificate Program sponsored by the Wharton School of Business. Donna is Series 7, 63 and 24 licensed. For 15 years, she was a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association and in 2012, became a member of the National Association of Professional Women. Donna believes those that are fortunate should give back both personally and professionally. At both her current and previous firms, Donna has participated in various firm sponsored employee development programs, either interviewing, mentoring and/or managing employees for such programs as Return to Work, which helps women re-enter the workforce, and summer and rotational analyst programs, focused on recruiting and developing young talent. Donna has been a “big sister” through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization. She believes in an open door policy and continuously, both formally and informally, mentors individuals. In 2015, Donna founded and is currently the Chair of the Women Leaders of National Sales, a network for women within the sales team whose mission is “… to come together as a community of Women Leaders to support, inspire and empower one another by sharing our experiences through mentoring, networking and giving back." Later that same year, she, along with her operating committee, launched a mentoring program to provide women within the network an opportunity to share both professional and personal challenges, triumphs as well as offer advice, guidance and support – all within a safe environment. She is also an active member of Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Women’s Employee Networking Group. Donna volunteers for the Caregiver Program at Westchester Medical Center in New York, a program focused on providing support to family members of long-term care patients.
